Parklife Festival @ Heaton Park
8–9 June
The North’s biggest party returns as Parklife celebrates 15 years of music celebration at Heaton Park. This year’s headline acts include Charli XCX and 50 Cent, alongside an all-star lineup featuring Jorja Smith, Peggy Gou, BICEP, Overmono, Rudimental, Flo and many more. With over 100 acts across multiple stages, plus legendary stage hosts like WHP, Ghosts of Garage, and Worried About Henry, it’s an epic start to the Summer for festival fanatics.
Manchester Histories Festival
6–9 June
Discover the stories that shaped Manchester at the multi-award-winning Manchester Histories Festival, created by Manchester Histories, the award-winning charity that works to share and celebrate Greater Manchester’s diverse histories and heritage. The four-day celebration is completely free and packed with heritage-themed fun: live music, comedy, craft workshops, talks, walkabout performances and over 50 community heritage stalls. A unique experience for all ages across Manchester City Centre.
Balloons & Beats @ Platt Fields Park
7–9 June
A magical outdoor event combining live music and hot air balloon displays across 2 days, designed for all ages. Think family fun, uplifting music, food, performances and skies lit up with colourful balloons, all in the beautiful setting of Platt Fields Park. A great way to experience summer in the city. A Lovely Weekend @ Fairfield Social Club
6–8 June
Comedy fans, this one’s for you. Across 3 days and nights, A Lovely Weekend brings 19 stand-up shows from some of the UK’s finest comics to Fairfield Social Club, from TV Stars, viral sensations and critically acclaimed stand-ups, including John Kerans and Jordan Brookes (the Edinbrugh Comedy Award Winners), local talents including Rachel Fairburn and Josh Jones, hotly-tipped newcomers Sharon Wanjohi, Ayoade Bamgboye and Molly McGuiness and cult sensations Frankie Monroe and Mark Silcox. It’s safe to say there will be guaranteed laughs, indie vibes, all within a fantastic venue inside Angel Meadows.

Get creative this month at this popular Sip and Paint evening hosted by Cultureville and Black Creative Trailblazers. This event is all about mindfulness, creativity and reconnecting with the beauty of the everyday. This experience is not just painting, there’s some incredible Black owned pop-ups, live music from Tabi Gazele, known for her soulful voice and Nigerian singer and rapper, Ayanam Udoma. No experience is needed, it caters and welcomes all abilities, and you leave with the souvenir of your own canvas. A perfect midweek reset and wholesome experience.

Manchester’s most joyful over-30s day-rave is back. Back in the Daytime delivers nostalgic old school bangers, all hosted by Bez (Happy Mondays) and Clint Boon, plus a guest appearance from Fatboy Tim - the world’s best Fatboy Slim tribute. The dancefloor will be buzzing and guaranteed good vibes!
Soccer Aid for UNICEF @ Old Trafford

One of the year’s biggest charity events returns to Old Trafford just in time for Father’s Day. Soccer Aid 2025 sees England take on the Soccer Aid World XI in a celeb-packed football match with extra entertainment in and around Old Trafford with designated ‘fun zones’ perfect for all the family. Stock Party @ Stockport Old Town
7 June
Stockport’s biggest indie street party is back and celebrating local talent and the people of Greater Manchester. Stock Party takes over the iconic Underbank district, Brewery Yard, Market Place and SK1 Records, with incredible live music, food including Honest Crust and Mekong Cats, craft drinks and workshops. Summer Music Sundays @ RHS Bridgewater
1 & 8 June
Take a trip to the Wellbeing Garden with deckchairs and world music at RHS Garden Bridgewater. On 1 June, enjoy high-energy brass from the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band, followed by calypso-jazz from Cacophony Arkestra on 8 June. For those looking for a more intimate, local festival, Moovin in Etherow Country Park at the eco-friendly Whitebottom Farm, is a great way to start the Summer festivities! Sofar Sounds Rooftop Session @ One Silk Street, Ancoats
